Working for people in British Columbia
Welcome!
Welcome to Jim Van Rassel's website! This site is designed to inform and spark public dialogue about what British Columbians can do to improve their quality of life in the province. The issues addressed below will make British Columbia a sustainable, economically viable, eco-friendly, and safer place to live while ensuring the rights of the individual and the private property owner are first (Democracy - is a form of government in which power is held by "the people" under a free electoral system).

Jim's To Do List:
  • To suggest B.C. voters do NOT participate in a system which is inherently dysfunctional. My opinion is the only way to be heard, at this moment in time, is to NOT participate because either option at the moment is not willing to agree that drastic changes have to be made to our governmental system. (ie. In my opinion, enough of our dictatorial democracy.)
  • To ensure the rights of B.C. residents are respected and protected. Everyone in Canada should be entitled to Private Property Rights (Common Law) and Canadians should have their property explicitly protected under the Constitution. Canadian Homeowners have no Property Rights or Charter Rights.
  • To re-evaluate municipal and provincial services that are currently mandatory (ie. Garbage Pickup) and allow homeowners the option to cut these services for their home and the costs to themselves and their families. If a homeowner has the means to deal with these services privately, they should be able to do so.
